Changing Futures Navigators (x2)

Location: Based in Morecambe (Covering North Lancashire)

Hours: 37.5 hrs per week

Payscale: £24,200 - £27,500 per annum

Accountable to: Changing Futures Senior Navigator

Contract: FTC ending 31.3.26 (with potential to further extension)

The Well Communities CIC work with a number of partner agencies to provide the ‘Changing Futures’ Lancashire programme.  The programme aims to work with beneficiaries who experience multiple areas of disadvantage and are disengaged from services.  Our team of Lived Experience Navigators provide outreach in the community to engage with beneficiaries and ‘navigate’ them into services across our community. 

You will work as part of the Lived Experience Navigator team across North Lancashire and in partnership with colleagues from mental health, probation, police, local authority and others.  You will identify and provide outreach support in the community to a range of beneficiaries with multiple support needs, with an aim of navigating them into appropriate services in the area.  Our approach is key to this, and you will use your Lived Experience to build strong relationships with our beneficiaries and provide person-centred support to achieve their goals.

Community Connector

Location: North Lancashire - covering Fleetwood & St Annes

As a Community Connector you will have a specific remit to work alongside residents in our supported accommodation, deliver Psychosocial Interventions (Psi’s, online and face to face) and provide a live connection between local communities, asset based and health and wellbeing opportunities and treatment services. You will work as part of the Behaviour Change Team Partnership, to open up opportunities and widen access beyond treatment services. You will work to develop relationships with voluntary and community groups, partner agencies, scoping and identifying underserved areas and will have a specific remit to work with communities in an asset-based manner.

You will also support those accessing and leaving treatment services to promote positive behaviour change, influence individuals and communities to make healthier lifestyles choices, develop self-care & management skills, build individual’s recovery capital and mobilise communities to become more resilient and self-sufficient. 

This is a key role which will increase the number of people from within the community who at present, do not access interventions from treatment services, supporting them to engage in positive behaviour change, engage in opportunities that will increase wellbeing, resilience and the ability to self-care.

As the Cumbria Carers Addiction Service Recovery Worker, you will be based in Cumberland, Carlisle and be required to deliver group and one to one interventions to clients within the cohort of the carers addiction service. Predominantly this contract supports family members and significant others whose love ones are experiencing SMD – Substance Misuse Disorder. We provide interventions to facilitate long term behavioural change within the substance misuse, mental health, and wellbeing fields.  We adopt a mid-point allegiance, which means we work with voluntary and statutory treatment providers to build the skills and capacity of people with lived experience to coproduce/deliver the services through coaching, micro employment, and volunteering

Volunteer Van Driver

Location: Barrow

Hours: 7 hrs per Week on a Saturday

Accountable to: Tenancy Sustainment Manager

We are looking for a volunteer who can help assist our community members to take members to the Saturday hub in Lancaster. If you like variety and want to meet new people, this could be the role for you! Our community relies on our volunteers to keep them running successfully. But one thing that never changes is that we need volunteers to help us to spread the power of kindness.

Duties include:

  • Saturday – Transporting residents to our hub in Lancaster and collection, returning to the hub in Morecambe.

    An opportunity to be part of The Well Communities CIC and the knowledge that you are making a positive difference to people’s lives.

Requirements:

·         A clean driving licence and able to drive a 15-seater minibus.

·         Contribute to maintaining safe systems of work and a safe environment.
