For most of us our home is a place of safety and sanctuary, but not for everyone. For some people their home has been filled with trauma, domestic violence, abuse and a lack of safety. One of the ways we support people during their recovery is by providing them with a home. A warm, safe and loving place to heal and focus on their recovery.
Our staff work with people to support them to take better care of themselves, and their home, bringing order and routine, helping people learn new skills.
Part of our 'Refreshing The Well Program', will see all of our properties refurbished, over the next 12 months we will carry out work on all of our properties to ensure that they match our vision.
We provide more than just accommodation, our housing support team all have lived experience of using recovery services, they know exactly what people need to get well, which enables us to provide intensive support to those in our community.
We support people to learn to live independently, cooking, cleaning, managing their finances. Helping people build a new way of living, bringing in normal routines and the elements of home life that most of us take for granted but some have never experienced.
Our first property to get a makeover is in Barrow in Furness, our estates team have undertaken a whole scale renovation, which includes new heating, lighting, electrics, a new kitchen, a new bathroom, new flooring throughout and decoration.
